Horizons Social Services of Adams County, Inc. seeks to meet the personal and community needs of the disadvantaged and destitute in the city of Quincy. We also attempt to serve as a communication facilitator between area churches and social service providers.

New Food Pantry Grand Opening

Do your planning and prepare your fields before building your house… Proverbs 24:27 NLT… After several years of careful planning and preparing, Horizons is excited to announce the grant opening of our new food pantry at 224 S. 8th.

Join us for Empty Bowls 2016

When:  Sunday, February 28, 2016 from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm Where:  Quincy Senior High School, 3322 Maine Street, Quincy, Illinois Come enjoy a simple meal of soup, bread, dessert and drink in support of Horizons Social Services for $10 per person or $50 family maximum. With your ticket purchase, you will take home an “empty” hand painted bowl to remind you of the hunger right here in our community. There will be raffle baskets for sale as well. All the proceeds from the Empty Bowls Fundraiser will go to support Horizons Social Services, feeding the hungry right here in our community. Tickets are available at both Quincy Hy-Vee location & Horizons inside St. John’s Parish at 701 Hampshire and at the door the day of the event. Questions call 217-224-5530
